Columbus Airport (CSG) is about 15 minutes from the Fort Benning main gate, and Tiger Aviation trains there by appointment. Soldiers, spouses, and civilians working on post use us to earn a private pilot certificate or add ratings without leaving the Columbus area.
Duty schedules change. Our scheduling is appointment-based rather than slot-based, so training can flex around field time, shift work, and PCS timelines instead of forcing you into a fixed weekly block you cannot keep.

You pay for the airplane, the instructor, and fuel at actual cost. Nothing else.
Aircraft rental
$115/hour
Our Piper Warrior, billed on the Hobbs meter. This is a dry rate: fuel is billed separately at what it actually costs, not folded into a padded hourly number.
Flight & ground instruction
$55/hour
One rate for instruction, in the airplane or on the ground. No club membership, no insurance surcharge, no fee for the briefing before and after your flight.
Discovery flight
$150 flat
30 minutes of flight time and about two hours with an instructor. No commitment attached. It is the best way to find out if flying is for you.

Can I actually make progress with an unpredictable schedule?
Yes, if the training is planned for it. Consistency matters, but continuity with one instructor matters more. We plan around your duty schedule and keep written notes so gaps cost you as little as possible.
I PCS in a year. Is starting worth it?
We will tell you honestly what is achievable before your report date instead of promising a certificate. If you transfer before finishing, you leave with complete, organized training records any school can continue from.
