Every flight should have a reason behind it.

A discovery flight is a short introductory lesson with an instructor. You will handle the controls, see how a lesson actually works, and get a feel for whether flying is something you want to pursue.

It is $150 flat. That covers 30 minutes of flight time and about two hours with an instructor, so there is real time to ask questions before and after you fly.

There is no commitment attached. It is also the best way to meet the person who would be teaching you before you spend real money on training.

A private pilot certificate lets you fly yourself and your passengers almost anywhere in the country. It is the foundation every other rating builds on, so we take it seriously.

Training moves through stages: learning to control the airplane, flying it precisely, your first solo, cross-country flying, and finally polishing everything to checkride standard. Before every flight you will know what we are working on and why. After every flight you will know, honestly, how it went.

No prior experience required. A medical certificate is needed before solo, and we will point you to the right steps early so nothing holds you up.

An instrument rating teaches you to fly by reference to instruments: in clouds, in low visibility, and in the conditions that ground a private pilot. It is the rating that makes an airplane genuinely useful for travel.

It is also where judgment matters most. We spend real time on weather decisions, planning, and knowing when the right call is not to go, because an instrument rating is not a license to fly through anything.
